Making Contact (R.E.M.)

Where do we go when we sleep? What happens to us when we enter the recovering tradition that keeps us humans alive? What remains of “you”?
These, and other questions, were the driving force behind the idea of making a series of compositions diving into the human perception of sleep. Every composition is only experienced once, made especially for a specific time, place, and space.

The first composition in the series was conceived, composed and exposed for the first edition of “Making Contact” in Amsterdam. A new range of events trying to make Spatial Listening sessions and multichannel environment more accessible to the public. Spatialised on the 4DSOUND architecture and exposed on the custom 4DSOUND sound system. Collaboration with Aengus Havinga.
